Kimono Experience

Do you know Kimono?

Japanese people rarely wear Kimono, their traditional clothing.

This is because Kimono are difficult to put on.

I came up with an easier way to put on Kimono, clothing that in the past was everyday wear.

Authentic Kimono that can be worn everyday without any fuss. . .

We offer mainly antique Kimono as casual wear.

Tsumamizaiku Experience

Do you know "Tsumamizaiku"?

The "tsumami" in "tsumamizaiku" means 'the act of pinching off'.

Traditional wisdom in Japan teaches us to make use of any scraps rather than simply throwing them away.

It was customary to cut up the scraps of fabric left over after a kimono was tailored and make them into accessories.

This kit is for making accessories using cotton cloth from what would become Yukata that features the traditional Sakai City dyeing method of "Chusen zome" (pour-dyeing).

This saves the fabric from being discarded simply because of some stain or tear.

The instructor will teach you how to make it. Using simple fabric bond, it can be completed in about 30 minutes. Very easy!
