Magnificent Nature
Aso is in the Aso Kuju National Park, which spreads out in the centre of Kyushu Island in the south of Japan. It is characterized by one of the world's largest calderas that extends about 18 km from east to west and about 25 km from north to south, formed by volcanic activities for about 270,000 years.
