I’ve always loved travelling. Ever since my student days I’ve travelled the world, visiting more than 20 countries. I began my career as an international cultural exchange programme coordinator for an agency of the Yokohama city government. This was followed by positions at the Japanese embassies in Uruguay and Spain.

Having lived abroad for over two decades, I’ve rediscovered the charms within my own country, Japan. In particular, I adore the variety of food and the beautiful sights of our natural heritage, which vary according to the region, its history, culture, and geological characteristics.

Every time I go back to my country and travel across it, I come upon new things that surprise and inspire me. Through our activities at the JCOS, I look forward to sharing the many delights of Japan with our guests from all over the world.
